Gingerbread fun

I don't know when I decided I wanted to make a gingerbread house but I have been thinking about it for months. Today I decided to go forth with my idea and make a gingerbread house. I decided since this afternoon is usually art time, that we would do this in lieu of coloring.  Decorating it was a little harder than I thought. I think I got the icing too warm in my hands because it kind of ran off the house in the end. the good news is I have at least another year to perfect my skills before Tink has any memory of gingerbread houses. So far I have only built the house. When the time is right I will let her tear apart the house. I will wait until Scott is off of work for that, it will probably take the both of us to keep the small hard pieces out of her mouth. Here is my photoblog of today's events.  Enjoy.

warming up and kneading the frosting bag (and tasting the plastic bag)
